What Is the Zena Algae Peel?

The Zena Algae Peel is a marine algae-based exfoliating treatment formulated with bioactive compounds drawn from algae, along with minerals and antioxidants. Rather than relying on the higher-strength acids used in many classic chemical peels, it works with naturally derived, algae-sourced ingredients designed to loosen and lift away built-up dead skin cells, helping reveal smoother, brighter skin underneath. Because the formula is gentler on the skin barrier than many traditional peels, it can typically be tolerated on areas of the body that are usually considered too sensitive – or too large – for a standard face-only peel.

Why It’s Different From Our Other Peels

Most professional peels, including our BioRepeel 35% TCA Peel and PRX-T33, are formulated and dosed specifically for facial skin. The Zena Algae Peel’s gentler, algae-based approach is what allows it to typically be used safely beyond the face – including the neck, back, and arms – where skin can be thicker and may benefit from a broader treatment area. This makes it one of the few peels in our menu that can address body texture and tone, not just facial concerns.

Areas We Treat

The Zena Algae Peel is offered across four treatment areas, priced according to the area size and time involved. A Face treatment starts at $300, while Face & Neck is $350 for a more complete refresh. For the body, a Back treatment is $500 and typically addresses larger areas prone to texture irregularities and breakouts, while Arms are $350 and can help smooth rough or uneven patches. Your provider will help determine which area – or combination of areas – best fits your goals during your consultation.

Who This Treatment Is a Good Fit For

The Zena Algae Peel can be a good option for those who want a lighter, more comfortable peel experience with minimal downtime, or who are dealing with concerns that extend past the face. On the body, it’s often considered for rough, bumpy texture associated with keratosis-pilaris-type skin, mild body acne or breakouts on the back, sun-related dullness on the arms, and general unevenness in tone and texture. On the face and neck, it can help refine the appearance of enlarged pores, dullness, and early fine lines. Because results build gradually and the formula is designed to be gentle, this peel is typically well suited to clients who are newer to professional peels or who prefer a treatment that can be repeated more frequently as part of an ongoing skincare routine. As with any peel, your provider will review your skin history and current concerns to confirm the Zena Algae Peel – and which area – is the right choice for you.
